The Zune experience- it really is the social.

Many people that own a Zune, have a hard time finding others with it. So, in a way, you are missing out on the Zune experience. This, of course, will take some time. Others need to be sold on the product and look further than just an iPod, which is an established entity. But, when that time comes, when a good amount of people have it, It will be AMAZING!

Why am I saying this? Because I had my first real “welcome to the social” experience. I was in Union Square with my boyfriend and friends, going to see a movie. We got there a bit early so we went inside Virgin Megastore, because it was cold ( finally, winter weather). As we navigated the store we ran into the Zune display and wanted to get the cables to hook it up to our TV. While waiting in line to pay, a guy from the store started talking to us about the Zune and about the cable we were about to purchase. He saw the Wallpaper my boyfriend had on his Zune ( the Gears of War wallpaper i made) and loved it. Other times people would say ” wow nice, i wish i had that!” but, this time.. he could REALLY GET IT. So instead of saying “wow nice, i wish i had that!” he could say ” do you mind sending that to my Zune?” immediately after he made it into his wallpaper, which made me very proud. After that we all just started talking about music and about how to create wallpapers.
How awesome is that?! After that we all started talking about the wallpaper. ect, ect. Keep in mind this is New York City, people don’t talk to you for the hell of it. But we can all be brought together if we have a thing in common. The Zune can offer that thing in common. Also, allowing us to share the music we carry with us, pictures and art. It is really a great experience to be able to do that.

Do you have your own Zune experience to share? Let me know and i will be happy to post it! Please include your location! send me an email over to pinksage@generationzune.net!

  1. Cool story. Unfortunately I live so far out in the sticks that the Zune’s wifi range would probably have to stretch about 70 miles for me to make contact with another Zuner, lol. Hopefully some day soon I’ll run into one….
