Album review from Spin:
wo decades and eight albums in, Lenny Kravitz is still ignoring the snickers and sneers, and wearing his influences (John and Paul! Jimi! Curtis! Zep!) in Day-Glo letters on his velvet sleeve. The good news: His songwriting continues to improve. From the garage stompfest "A Love Revolution" to the James Brown-via-Aerosmith funk workout "Will You Marry Me?" Kravitz’s irony-free pastiches often satisfy like the best work of his rock and soul forebears; and considering his tastes, that’s a remarkably high standard. TOM SINCLAIR
